The Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of the Algerian community abroad, Mr. Sofiane Chaib, has embarked on a working visit to the Republic of Turkey, which he began by visiting the Consulate General of Algeria in Istanbul, where he reviewed the operations of the various consular services and assessed firsthand the conditions under which citizens are received and the level of administrative services provided to them. These services have been well-received by members of the national community, given the efforts made by the consular staff to ensure their concerns are adequately addressed.

This visit also provided an opportunity for the Secretary of State to issue directives aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of consular work and continuing to improve service quality, particularly by streamlining procedures and providing the best possible reception and support for citizens and applicants.
