Notice to Travelers Returning to Their Home Country
As part of efforts to create conditions conducive to welcoming members of the Algerian community back to their home country during the 2026 summer season, the Consulate General of Algeria in Geneva wishes to inform members of the community residing in Switzerland that the General Directorate of Customs has made brochures and information sheets available in three languages (Arabic, French, and English) to help arrivals familiarize themselves with the required information and facilitate administrative procedures, particularly regarding:
- customs declaration procedures for luggage and personal effects;
- customs declaration procedures for foreign currency and valuables;
- procedures for obtaining a transit permit from customs for vehicles.
Those concerned are invited to create a personal account on the digital platform (ALCES) to facilitate these procedures, via the following link:
