Today, the President of the Republic, Mr Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received a telephone call from his brother, His Majesty Sultan Haitham ben Tariq, Sultan of the sisterly Sultanate of Oman, in which he extended his congratulations to him, and through him to the Algerian people, on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.

In turn, the President extended his warmest congratulations to his brother, His Majesty Sultan Haitham ben Tariq, and to the brotherly Omani people on this blessed occasion, wishing the Sultanate of Oman continued prosperity and well-being.

The leaders of the two countries also took this opportunity to exchange views on the latest developments in the region, with the President of the Republic expressing his hopes for continued security and tranquillity for the brotherly Omani people, in light of the developments currently unfolding in the Middle East.
