The President of the Republic, Mr Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received a telephone call today from the Prime Minister of Italy, Ms Giorgia Meloni.

This call provided a good opportunity to highlight the excellent bilateral relations between the two countries, with both sides expressing their full satisfaction with these ties, particularly in the economic and energy sectors, and noting the progress being made on the MATE project.

For his part, the President of the Republic thanked Ms Giorgia Meloni for her condolences to him and to Algeria following the fire that broke out at the children’s hospital.
