The Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, responsible for the national community abroad, Mr Sofiane CHAIB, will today receive at the Ministry’s headquarters, a group of children from the Algerian diaspora, who are taking part in the second session of the 2026 summer camps – now in their fourth edition – organised in accordance with the instructions of the country’s highest authorities aimed at fostering a sense of belonging and national identity among them.

This meeting provided an opportunity to engage with the children and hear their impressions of this unique experience, which offers them a space to get to know one another, exchange ideas, discover Algeria, and benefit from meaningful educational, cultural and recreational programmes, thereby helping to strengthen their ties to their motherland and its cultural and civilisational heritage.

As part of efforts to extend the benefits of this national initiative to as many children from our diaspora abroad as possible, a third additional session will be organised from 16 to 27 August 2026.
