The Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of African Affairs, Ms. Salma Bakhta Mansouri, received at the Ministry's headquarters Ms. Prudence Ngwenya, Director of Women, Gender and Youth Affairs at the African Union Commission, who is on a working visit to Algeria.

The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on the priorities for continental action in the areas of women's empowerment, youth empowerment and gender equality in African public policies. Ways to strengthen coordination between Algeria and the African Union Commission in these vital areas were also discussed, within the framework of the commitments of the African Union's Agenda 2063.
