The Secretary of State for the National Community Abroad, Mr. Sofiane Chaib, received Ms. Lalini Verasamy, Head of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Mission in Algeria, today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This meeting provided an opportunity to review the current state of cooperation between Algeria and the International Organization for Migration, particularly regarding the exchange of expertise on policies concerning the national community abroad, which was the focus of a high-level workshop organized last July.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to explore avenues for strengthening bilateral cooperation programs aimed at supporting and promoting national efforts to involve members of our diaspora living abroad in the country’s various development initiatives.
