As part of ongoing engagement with members of the Algerian diaspora living abroad, and in line with efforts to strengthen their involvement in economic development, the Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs responsible for the Algerian diaspora abroad, Mr Sofiane Chaib, alongside his government colleague, the Minister for the Knowledge Economy, Start-ups and Micro-enterprises, Mr Noureddine Ouadah, via video conference, in the second edition of the Media Day organised by the Consulate General of Algeria in Geneva, entitled ‘The Start-up Ecosystem in Algeria: Opportunities and Prospects’. This event was organised to coincide with Minister Noureddine Ouadah working visit to Switzerland.

This interactive meeting, which saw a notable turnout of over 200 participants from the Algerian community residing in Switzerland – including investors, entrepreneurs, project leaders and start-up founders – builds on the success of the first edition, thereby providing a forum for dialogue and the exchange of views on investment opportunities and prospects in Algeria.
